Light the Night Walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

On Saturday, October 25, 2014, the Rotary Club of Shady Brook members, their families and friends participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “LIGHT THE NIGHT” annual event at the Bucks Community College campus. Thanks to Phil Huber for heading up this years fundraising and to the members of his family who added their participation. With Phil’s leadership, we made our goal of $3000. It was a wonderful and inspiring evening showing those with Blood Cancers that people care and that someday we may wipe out all forms of Cancer. Thanks to Wendy Perlstein for the cookies and cake she provided before the walk and to the ever dedicated Mayor of Route One, Irv Perlstein who had posters made of my son Charles who is a Cancer Survivor and in the memory of the daughter of Dolly and the late Maurice Sokol, Linda Sokol Greenberg. Pictured are the group right before the walk.
