Helping Needy Veterans

Club members Irv Perlstein, Steven Manas, Jerry Redington and Alan Agree braved Saturday's chilly temperatures to raise money to provide Passover/Easter holiday meals for local needy veterans outside ShopRite in Lower Makefield.

WIth thanks to the generosity of ShopRite's customers, we were able to raise over $650 … which will be sued to purcahse gift certificates from ShpRite which will then be donated to need Bucks County veterans.

Annual Pancake Breakfast Supporting Angel Flight East

This year's annual pancake breakfast

held at Applebee's Grill and Bar

in Newtown proved to be our most successful, netting a record of nearly $1,600 which will be donated to

a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the community by facilitating free air transportation to children and adults in need of medical treatment far from home and other compelling needs. AFE’s footprint is Virginia to Ohio to Maine and for destinations beyond that; we link up with other volunteer pilot organizations.

This all-hands effort was coordinated by Jerry Redington and a great time was had by all … Rotarians and guests!

Among the many constant supporters of this and other Club events were Rotary District 7450 Assistant District Governor Chris Potter,

VFW Post 6393 Post Commander Russ Davidson, and

Bucks County Vet's Center Team Leader, Jeff Hoerger

all shown with Club Golf Chair and Past President Irv Perlstein.
