At the invitation of Tom Mellon, host of WBCB's (AM-1940) "Let's Go Places", Dick Newbert was a guest on his weekly raido show to talk about our Rotary Club and some of its many charitable and volunteer activities and initiatives; with a specail emphasis on those in support of our nation's veterans.  Today's show was broadcast from the Fraternal Order of Police's Retirement Home at 730 Byberry Road in Philadelphia.

Among the Club's initiatives highlighted were it's recent charity golf outing, whose promary beneficiary was the Drew's Hope Foundation as well as supporting several local VFW and American Legion Posts and the Guardians of the National Cemetery in Washington Crossing; current fundraising collections to provide holiday meals for needy veterans and their families; serving meals to cancer patients undergoing treatements in Philadlephia at Astra Zeneca's Hope Lodge; and support for Philadelphia's William Dick School.
