Thanking the Toll Gate Grammar School

This fall, the Toll Gate Grammar School in Pennington, NJ, was replacing most of their gym mats, athletic balls and other equipment and discarding several dozen student and adult chairs as well as some books and other educational materials.  When the Club learned about their availability through Irv Perlstein's wife, Wendy, who had worked at the school, we were able to convince Tollgate to donate these items to the Club … which would then be immediately  re-donated to the William Dick School.  You can refer to posts for September 9th and October 12th for additional details.

This evening, the Club was able to recognize Lee White and Suzanne Horsley, the two individuals at Tollg Gate made these wonderful donations possible.

At the same time, the William Dick School's principal, Amy Williams was on hand to present the Tollgate Grammar School with a Certificate of Appreciation for it generosity and share how incredibly valuable the donated equipment, chairs and other school supplies have been.

Thanks from VFW Post 6393

For several years the Club has collected funds to provide holiday meals for needy veterans and their families.  As our members are unaware of specific veterans who could use assistance, we have donated the gift certificates purchased with the monies we have collected to veterans' organizaitons who are aware of and often in direct contact with those in need.

It was very gratifying and rewarding to have received the following letter from VFW Post 6393 in Yardley giving us a snapshot into the ultimate recipients of our most recent, pre-Thanksgiving donations drive.

However, the real credit and thanks goes to the hundreds of McCaffrey's shoppers who opened their hearts and wallets to help us help some of the most needy among those who have served and protected our country!
