The Rotary Club of Shady Brook provided dinner for 60 patients and their families at HOPE LODGE in NW Philadelphia on May 9, 2013. For patients undergoing treatment for cancer it can be both financially and emotionally overwhelming and often requires that they be far from home, adding the additional burden of travel and lodging expenses. That is why the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge of the American Cancer Society offers lodging at no cost for cancer patients being treated in the Philadelphia area.
Members pictured during clean up were Irv Perlstein – Club President Elect, Alan Agree – Event Chairman, Dolly and Maurice Sokol and Gary Bruno. Fred Edelman – Club Past President took the picture.
